Few words about Themistocleon Vocational Training Institute

 

Themistocleon Vocational Training Institute was founded in 2001 with the aim to train and educate professionals in both building and road construction sectors through various training programs.

The Institute is located in Larnaka, Cyprus. The premises comprise fully equipped lecturing facilities, offices, a canteen and other auxiliary spaces. Programs are also offered in Nicosia, Limassol, Ammochostos Area and Paphos in premises environmentally similar to the ones in Larnaka.

Themistocleon Vocational Training Institute was founded by Mr Michalakis Themistokleous, a former Chief Instructor for the Building Construction in Cyprus Productivity Center (Ministry of Labour and Social Insurance) who was also in charge of the CPC Training Workshops for Larnaca and Famagusta Districts. Today, the Institute is directed by Mr George M. Themistokleous, a Civil Engineer with Masters degree in Engineering Project Management and extensive experience in various building and road construction projects. The Institute, in collaboration with a number of other professionals cover almost all areas of the training needs and skills necessitated by the ever improving Construction Industry. Training and Education is offered at various levels, ranging from ab-initio training to Technical Assistants’ programs. Simultaneously, Themistocleon Vocational Training Institute cooperates with a Materials’ Testing Laboratory where participants in various courses can gain an on hand experience of the various material tests required in the industry. 

The courses offered by the Institute as said above, vary in level as well as in duration and are effected during morning as well as afternoon hours, depending on the content of the course. In order to help working people attend the various training programs, most of the courses/lectures take place during non working hours, i.e late afternoons or Saturdays. All programs offered by Themistocleon Vocational Training Institute enjoy subsidy by the Human Resource Development Authority (ΑνΑΔ) of Cyprus.
